An AI humanizer rewrites text produced by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek so it reads like something a person wrote. It recognizes the patterns models leave behind — sentences of similar length, the same interchangeable transitions, a small set of recurring phrases — and replaces them with more varied language. What the number means
A detector score is an opinion with a number attached. It is useful — as long as you know what it can and cannot tell you.
Run the same paragraph through three detectors and you get three answers. They were trained on different data and they weigh different signals. A single number from a single tool is a reading, not a verdict.
Text written entirely by hand rarely scores 100 %. Clear structure, short sentences and consistent terminology all look machine-like to a detector. Chasing a perfect number means damaging the writing to please a tool.
Detectors flag simpler sentence structures and a smaller vocabulary more often. If English is your second language, you carry more of that risk without having done anything wrong — which is exactly why we show you the number before anyone else sees your text.

Academic writing
Academic writing is where a humanizer does the most damage when it gets things wrong — and where StudyTexter was built to be careful. A rewritten sentence costs you nothing. A rewritten citation costs you marks.

That depends on the rules you are writing under, not on the tool. Rewriting your own draft so it reads naturally is ordinary editing, and people have done it with every writing tool ever made. Submitting generated work where it is not allowed is a different thing — and running it through a humanizer does not make it allowed.
No, and it is not a plagiarism check either. Plagiarism is using someone else's work without crediting it. A humanizer changes your sentences; it does not touch who you cite or whether you cited them. If a source is missing before, it is missing after.
At authorship and at disclosure. If the ideas, the structure and the argument are yours, editing the prose is yours to do. If your institution or your client asks you to declare AI assistance, that obligation stays exactly where it was — humanizing changes how a text reads, not how it has to be declared.
We would rather say this here than leave you to find out later. The rules that apply to you are your institution's, your employer's or your platform's — not ours.
AI detection
People arrive here looking for a way past detectors. Here is what we can and cannot tell you about that.
We do not promise undetectability. No tool can, because no tool controls the detectors. Anyone claiming their output passes every checker is describing a moment in time, not a property of the text. Detectors update; claims like that expire quietly.
We do not name the detectors we pass. A list of logos would be a claim we cannot keep current, and it would invite you to test exactly the tool that is missing from it. We use GPTZero as our own check because it is well known and independent of us — that is a check, not a partnership, and not a list.
We show you the number instead. Your original text and your humanized version, both scored, before you submit anything. What the number is good for is the comparison. What it is not good for is a guarantee, and we would rather you knew that from us.
